Where Next Generation Leaders Are Made

Great leaders learn from history. At the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC), 7th and 8th grade students from across the country will have the extraordinary opportunity to spend six amazing days in and around the nation's capital, experiencing the power of democracy among the monuments and museums. They will be inspired by exemplary stories of courage and collaborate to discover solutions to some of the issues they face today.

New in 2024, we are excited to expand JrNYLC to Atlanta, GA! Students will have the extraordinary opportunity to partake in the same immersive, intellectually stimulating programming JrNYLC has featured for decades—now in the city heralded as the cradle of the modern Civil Rights Movement.

Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

Start your leadership journey at the Junior National Young Leaders Conference. During this six-day Envision program, Washington, D.C. or Atlanta, GA will serve as a living classroom for students as they develop leadership skills and enjoy the educational experience of a lifetime.

With a focus on influential figures from American history and social advocacy, JrNYLC is a program packed with fun and engaging site experiences as well as hands-on activities that bring the concepts and skills of effective leadership to life.

Students at JrNYLC learn to work together as they develop action plans that they can put into practice in their homes and communities, and continue beyond their conference experience. Students in Washington, D.C. will explore monuments and memorials in our nation's capital and participate in an exclusive Capitol Hill experience, during which past attendees have visited the Floor of the House and heard a speech from a former member of congress.

Students in Atlanta will visit Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, and Atlanta History Center.
